OUR GOAL
1. The Association of Ba’lal Foundation intends to transform the lives of the rural children, youths and adults and their environment thereby harnessing their potentials and participation in developing themselves and their communities.
2. To discourage illegal migration and maximize the effectiveness of youths participation in Information Communication Technology skills and entrepreneurship.
3. Promote the study of information technology and entrepreneurship which are key to every nation’s development.
MISSION
The mission of The Association of Ba’lal Foundation is to minimize rural urban migration by promoting and contributing to the education of the poor, orphans and children’s and youths. This is done through the provision of free or affordable skills training education especially IT skills for them to be self fulfilled and employed in their societies.
VISION
The vision of The Association of Ba’lal Foundation is set to achieve societal progress and economic development of the grassroots and to improve the quality of life of the poor youths, women, orphans and children by motivating them to engage in IT skills, horticultural gardening, poultry and entrepreneurship for productive and self-development activities.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
AIM
The aim of the Foundation is to expose and enhance the knowledge base of the rural young people in IT studies in order for them to contribute meaningfully towards community development and the nation as a whole. In recent years employment opportunities within and outside government entities attach so much value to the acquisition of IT knowledge. Rural young people especially Lower River Region part of The Gambia lack this facilities to expose young people to IT and as a result they find the job market challenging. IT studies in this situation can play a major role in improving the livelihood of the young people and additionally minimize rural urban migration.
We also aimed at sponsoring orphan from primary to tertiary. Establishing an IT CENTER in all the rural centers/area where we will train youths, women, orphans and children on computer skills training in (Microsoft Office, computer repair and maintenance, internet skills, graphic design and computer Networking), in IT career and entrepreneurship providing encouragement for further education.
OBJECTIVES
1. To create awareness on the values of IT skills in community development and by extension to national development. Also to create employment opportunities and curb rural urban migration of young school leavers.
2. Is to give free scholarship to orphans learning in various schools, by paying their schools fees, and providing IT training and entrepreneurship at affordable fees for them through the support of donors.
3. To create awareness amongst the youths and policy makers about the potential of IT skills in the promotion of sustainable development in the rural areas of the country.
4. To trained women’s and youths and promote the study of IT entrepreneurships
5. To make IT skills affordable and accessible to people in the rural center.
6. Is to increase the number of computer literate in the rural centre by making ICT education accessible and affordable to those young women Boys and Girls who are unable to migrate to the urban areas.
7. To promote creativity, capability and competence amongst students to make them first-rated professionals.
8. To provide ample opportunities for students to meet outside the institution to update their knowledge about the latest advances in their field of study and to share their achievements with the broader society.
9. To develop and promote national and international linkages by way of partnerships with other organization.
10. To support and promote horticultural gardening and poultry farms.
